Monochrome Mother's Day card

Hi again, today is the first day I've felt a bit chilly this autumn! It's trying to rain outside and we desperately need it so hopefully it'll be a wet evening.

I had a scrap of stencilled card left over that needed to be used up. I'd used glass bead glitter gel through a dots fade stencil. This dot matrix embossing folder is a good match for it I think.

I coloured the panel with spun sugar and tattered rose distress inks. The butterfly is coloured with burnt orange, red oxide and baked earth Inktense pencils.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:
Fantasy Stampers has a monochrome theme.
I used Indigo Blu's dinkie Flutterby butterfly stamp with versafine ink and clear ep.

Addicted to Stamps & More has a photo for inspiration .

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday it's make it girlie.

Country pandas!

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the weekend.
I thought I'd post this while the butter is softening for a rustic blueberry cake I'm making to take to a friend's place for afternoon tea.

I'm still having fun with these panda stamps! They fit the theme for a few challenges.
Seize the birthday has an anything goes birthday theme.

A new challenge for me is Bizzy Bec's Store blog challenge
where the theme is also anything goes.

At Time Out the theme is celebrations with the optional twist of die cutting or fussy cutting.
I've done both, the balloons and green landscape are diecut and the pandas are fussy cut.

Supplies:
Stampin Up cloud embossing folder; Mama Elephant pandemonium stamps; Paper Smooched balloon dies; Spellbinders Card Creator curved borders 1 die; distress inks; archival jet black ink;; Annabelle Stamps sentiment stamp (retired); versafine ink & clear ep; scraps of brusho and watercoloured paper; silver twine.

Mother's Day butterfly

Hi everyone, the school holidays are coming to an end so I thought I'd better spend some more time in the craft room!

This is another butterfly diecut, covered in versamark, then embossed with aged taupe frantage enamel. I love this stuff and am keen to get more colours!

This fits a few challenge themes I think.

Simon Says Stamp Monday has a butterfly theme.

Hi everyone, I've had this flower stamp for ages and finally had time to ink it up.
I stamped it using Versafine smokey grey as I wanted a soft outline, and used Inktense pencils for the colouring.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Purple butterfly panel

Hi everyone, I'm racing in to join in the purple passion theme at Allsorts.
It closes soon but since purple is one of my favourite colours I wanted to play along!

This butterfly has been my stash for a while, but I think I used dylusions ink and watered down  antiqued bronze spray stain to colour it.

Addicted to Stamps & More has a CAS theme.

AAA Cards is always CAS but this week it's anything goes.

Supplies:
Memory Box Vivienne & Darla butterflies and Fresh Foliage dies; Dylusion inks; distress spray stain; distress ink. Sentiment sticker; score board.

Hi everyone, I received this embossing folder in the mail from a facebook friend.
It was a lovely surprise so I wanted to use it for a thank you card to post to her.

I think it also fits a few challenge themes.

Embossed birthday

Hi everyone, I've been using up brusho backgrounds that I didn't think worked very well.
By die cutting them with this large sentiment the colours do look ok!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is celebrating their 7th birthday.
Congratulations! The theme is birthdays and there is lots of inspiration from the DT.

Supplies:
Embossing folder used at my sister's so I'm not sure what it's called; brushos; Poppystamps jumbled birthday die; Fiskars star punch.

Brusho birthday tag

Hi everyone, school holidays are fast approaching and I'm so looking forward to the break!
Got a big list of jobs and some running around to do but hopefully I'll get some time in the craft room too!

I cut this tag from a brushos background that I made a while ago, and stamped some circles to add extra interest. The happy diecut was inked with versamark and covered in aged black frantage enamel to emboss it.
I added some stencilling with glass bead glitter paste for some sparkle. I think the clear paste helps to keep the card CAS.

The challenge at AAA Cards is stencilling.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's make your mark, I used brushos.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday it's anything goes.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog
CAS Mix Up Card Challenge want us to use stamping, stencilling and any other techniques to add dimension to the project. My extras are diecutting, brushos and heat embossing.

Seize the Birthday has an anything goes birthday theme. Since I used brusho powder and water I've gone with the optional toppings theme of water.

Supplies:
MFT tag dies; brushos; Happy Little Stampers mix mash stamp set; Simon Says Stamp Happy stamp set for the birthday sentiment: versafine smokey grey and onyx black ink: Memory Box jumbled birthday die; aged black frantage enamel; glitter glass bead paste; TH dot fade layering stencil.

Inlaid diecut flower

Hi everyone, we wound our clocks back early this morning as daylight savings ended. It was so nice to spend the extra hour in bed!

I'm starting early on some Mother's Day cards, (we celebrate it in May here in Australia).
I love these pandas but they stamp with a scratchy finish and I can't help myself but colour it in so it's an even black! I use archival jet black as it's nice and dark.

The challenge at Addicted to CAS is inlaid dies.

I used a sentiment die from Lawn Fawn and added a flower die from Memory Box , snipping it to suit, at the end. Its cut from a scrap of leftover card coloured with green and silver gelatos'and has a lovely shimmer.
I diecut the petals from a scrap (and I mean a tiny scrap) of  pink brushos paper left over from another project. I inlaid these into the petal outline.

Using up snippets means I can pop over to the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

I'm also playing at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where it's anything goes,
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

and at Simon Says Work It Wednesday where the theme is pastels.
